Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chevrolet Tracker. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the cruise control release switch (1) into the brake pedal bracket by turning clockwise.
  2. Adjust the cruise control release switch (1) by inserting the probes of the DMM into either side of the cruise control release switch electrical connector.

  3. Depress the clutch pedal (2) to within 20-30 mm (0.8-1.2 in) from the floor (1).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Screw the cruise control release switch clockwise into the brake pedal bracket until continuity is obtained.

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the cruise control release switch lock nut to 13 N.m (115 lb in).
  5. Install the cruise control release switch electrical connector to the cruise control release switch.
  6. Install the knee bolster from the instrument panel. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Install the negative battery cable.
