Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Cadillac Eldorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the wiper blade on the wiper arm. Refer to Wiper Arm Blade Replacement .
  2. Install the wiper arm onto the transmission drive shaft so that the wiper arm is 25mm (1 in) below the stop surface of the park ramp.
  3. Remove the pivot prevention pin or rivet from the wiper arm.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the new nut.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

  5. Lift the wiper arm over the park ramp.
  6. Replace the protective cap.
  7. Connect the washer hose onto the connector at the air inlet grille panel.
  8. Run the wipers and inspect for the correct wipe pattern. The LH blade tip should wipe to a limit of 78 mm (3.063 in) from the pillar. The RH blade should overlap into the LH wipe pattern.
  9. Shut off the wipers and inspect for proper park position.
