Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Cadillac Eldorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install the wiper motor cover to the new wiper motor.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the 3 screws.
Tighten

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
Position the wiper motor to the plenum.
Secure the transmission drive link socket to the wiper motor crank arm ball using the J 39529.

Install the 3 bolts to the wiper motor.
Tighten

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Connect the electrical connectors to the wiper motor.
Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to AIR INLET GRILLE PANEL REPLACEMENT .
Install the wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement .
Verify the wiper washer system operation.
