Installation Procedure

Install the O-ring to the speed sensor, if removed.
Install the speed sensor (1) to the transfer case.

Position the pinion housing vent hose (2) and mounting bracket to the speed sensor bolt boss.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the speed sensor bolt (3) to the transfer case.
Tighten

Tighten the bolt to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
Connect the electrical connector to the speed sensor.
Lower the vehicle.
