HVAC Module Assembly: Installation

  1. Install the heater and evaporator module assembly.
  2. Install the heater and evaporator module retaining nuts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install the evaporator outer cover.
  4. Install the blower motor.
  5. Install the air distribution duct.
  6. Install the air inlet housing.
  7. Install the evaporator drain.
  8. Raise the engine.
  9. Install NEW O-rings on evaporator lines. Connect the evaporator hose assembly to the evaporator core and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  10. Install the I/P carrier support.
  11. Recharge the A/C system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING.
  12. Leak test the fittings of the component. See LEAK TESTING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING.
