Installation Procedure

  1. Route the backup lamp connector (5) and the grommet (3) through the rear compartment lid (2).

  2. Install the backup lamp (1) to the rear compartment lid (2).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the fasteners (1) in order to secure the backup lamp (1) to the rear compartment lid (2).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).

  4. Verify that the grommet (3) is fully seated in the rear compartment lid (2).
  5. Connect the backup lamp connector (5) to the rear compartment lid wiring harness.
  6. Install the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to COMPARTMENT LID TRIM REPLACEMENT - REAR .
  7. Close the rear compartment lid.
