Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING & JACKING VEHICLE in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the coil spring. Refer to FRONT COIL SPRINGS REPLACEMENT  . 
  4. Remove the control arm bolts and nuts (1, 3).
  5. Remove the control arm (2).
    IMPORTANT: Do not transfer the bushings from an old control arm to a new control arm.
  6. Remove the control arm bushings if necessary. Refer to LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS REPLACEMENT  .
