Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the inflatable restraint side impact sensor yellow 2-way connector (2) to the inflatable restraint side impact sensor (1).
  2. Install the CPA to the inflatable restraint side impact sensor yellow 2-way wiring harness connector (2).
  3. Install the inflatable restraint side impact sensor (1) to the center pillar.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the fasteners (2) to the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.

    Tighten 

    Tighten fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the seat belt retractor trim cover. Refer to SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT - LEFT FRONT or SEAT BELT BUCKLE REPLACEMENT - RIGHT FRONT .
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System .
