Installation Procedure

  1. Install the stabilizer shaft to the vehicle.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the front suspension crossmember rear mounting bolts (3) to the front suspension crossmember (4). Hand tighten the bolts.
  4. Install the front suspension crossmember front mounting bolts (5) to the front suspension crossmember (4).

    Tighten: 

    1. Tighten the front crossmember bolts to 245 N.m (180 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the control arm body bolts to 245 N.m (180 lb ft).
    3. Tighten the rear crossmember bolts to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

  6. Install the clamps (2) and the bolts (1) to the stabilizer shaft (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 66 N.m (49 lb ft).

  7. Install the power steering line bracket to the front suspension crossmember.

  9. Install the bolt (1) to the rear transmission mount (4).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 120 N.m (89 lb ft).

  11. Install the tie rods (4) to the steering knuckles (6). Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement in Power Steering System.
  12. Install the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
  13. Install the tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  14. Lower the vehicle.
