Installation Procedure

  1. Install the head amp (immobilizer de-modulator) with the screw.

  2. Raise the steering column.
  3. Connect the steering column electrical connector.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the nuts and the bolts securing the steering column.
  5. Install the steering column upper and lower cover.
    • Tighten the steering column nuts to 22 N.m(16 lb ft)  .
    • Tighten the steering column bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)  .

  6. Install the instrument cluster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  7. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Interior Trim.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
