Installation Procedure

    CAUTION: Replace belts, retractors and hardware in use during all but minor collisions. Also, restraint systems should be replaced and anchorages properly repaired if they were in areas damaged by a collision, whether the belt was in use or not. If there is any question, replace the belt system. Damage to the belt system, whether visible or not, could result in serious personal injury in the event of an accident.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the seat belt retractor with the bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat belt retractor bolt to 38 N.m (28 lb ft)  .

  3. Install the seat belt retractor bracket with the screw.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat belt bracket screw to 3 N.m (27 lb in)  .

  4. Install the upper center pillar seat belt anchor with the bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat belt anchor bolt to 38 N.m (28 lb ft)  .

  5. Install the seat belt anchor plastic cap.

  7. Install the lower center pillar trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Center Pillar in Interior Trim.
  8. Install the lower center pillar seat belt anchor with the bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat belt anchor bolt to 38 N.m (28 lb ft)  .

  9. Install the seat belt anchor plastic cap.
