Installation Procedure

  1. Install the junction block tab to the slot in the cross vehicle beam.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the junction block bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the junction block bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the inner wiring harness connector to the junction block.

    Tighten:  Tighten the inner wiring harness connector bolt to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  4. Install the I/P driver knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  5. Install the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  6. Connect the yellow inflatable restraint connector. Install the CPA. Attach the connector to the junction block.

  7. Connect the outboard wiring harness connector C2 to the junction block.

    Tighten:  Tighten the body wiring harness connector bolt to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  8. Install the left I/P fuse block access hole cover.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
