Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the sunroof molding, if equipped.
  3. Remove the passenger assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement .
  4. Remove the plastic retaining clips in the headliner on the driver side.
  5. Remove the sun visors. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  6. Remove the power sunroof control switch, if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .
  7. Remove the windshield pillar. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
  8. Remove the upper center pillar. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  9. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) .

  10. Remove the plastic retainers in the headliner using the J 21104-B  . See Special Tools .
  11. Recline both front seats.
  12. Remove the headliner.
