Auto-Locking (Safety Lock)

The remote keyless entry (RKE) system has an automatic locking feature. If the doors are unlocked with the remote transmitter while the control module/receiver is armed, the doors are automatically re-locked after 30 seconds unless any of the following events occurs:

• The door is opened.
• The ignition switch is turned ON.
• The rear deck lid is opened.
• The hood is opened.
