Installation Procedure

  1. Install the endgate support cable onto the endgate.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the endgate support cable fastener to the endgate.

    Tighten:  Tighten the endgate striker fasteners to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the endgate support cable fastener to the body.

    Tighten:  Tighten the endgate support cable fastener to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Close the rear compartment lid.
  5. Close the endgate.
