1 Did you perform the Cruise Control Diagnostic System Check? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Cruise Control

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Install a scan tool.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. With the scan tool, command the Lamp Test parameter ON, in the IPC Output Controls.
Does the Cruise indicator illuminate in the instrument panel cluster (IPC)?
Go to Step 4  Go to Step 3 
3 Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 5  -

IMPORTANT: Program the replacement powertrain control module (PCM).
Replace the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L.Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 5  -
5 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Does the system operate properly?
