Removal Procedure
- Set the replacement odometer at zero
- Install a label on the driver's door frame showing the following information:
- The previous odometer reading
- The date of replacement
- Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement .
- Remove the instrument cluster lens and bezel assembly (2) from the instrument cluster (1) by releasing the 6 black plastic tabs.
- Remove the following components from the instrument cluster (2):
- The 4 screws (4)
- The speedometer
IMPORTANT:
When replacing a speedometer or an odometer assembly, the law requires the odometer reading of the replacement unit to be set to register the same mileage as the prior odometer.

IMPORTANT:
Do not remove the needle from the speedometer. There is no detent or flat spot on the shaft in order to indicate the correct placement.
