Installation Procedure
- Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil and combination switch (1) to the steering column.
- Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil and combination switch electrical connectors (3, 4).
- Secure the SIR coil and combination switch wiring harness to the steering column with the retaining bands.
- Install the upper steering column cover and the lower steering column cover to the steering column.

- Secure the steering column covers with the 3 screws (2).
- Install the IP steering column opening trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Left
in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Install the steering wheel to the steering column. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement
in Steering Wheel and Column.
- Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 .
