Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the yellow 2-way connector and the horn connector to the inflator module coil connectors on the upper steering wheel.
  2. Install the yellow 2-way connector and the horn connector in the steering wheel.
  3. Install the inflator module to the steering wheel taking care so that no part of the wire harness is caught between the module and the steering wheel.
  4. Ensure uniform clearance between and steering wheel and the module all the way around.
    5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the 2 TORX® bolts in order to secure the inflator module to the steering wheel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (6.5 lb ft).

  6. Install the mounting bolt hole caps.
  7. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 .
