Installation Procedure

Important:  The battery cable and the ABS harness must be installed to the engine splash shield prior to installation of the engine splash shield to the body.

  1. Install the front wheel speed jumper harness to the left engine splash shield. Refer to WHEEL SPEED SENSOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT  in Antilock Brake System.

  2. Install the front wheel speed jumper harness to the right engine splash shield. Refer to WHEEL SPEED SENSOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT  in Antilock Brake system.
  3. Connect the battery cable to the right engine splashshield. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE REPLACEMENT  in Battery.
  4. Align the engine splash shield to the vehicle engine compartment side rail.
  5. Install the push-in retainers to the engine compartment side rail.
  6. Install the push-in retainers to the front fender liner at the engine splash shield.
