Installation Procedure

  1. Install the SGCM cooling fan (3) to the SGCM radiator (2).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts (4) to the SGCM cooling fan (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the SGCM radiator (5) to the radiator core support (4).
  6. Install the bolts (1) to the SGCM radiator (5).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  7. Connect the electrical connector to the SGCM cooling fan.

  9. Install the ambient air temperature sensor (2) to the SGCM radiator bracket (3).

  11. Install the SGCM radiator outlet hose (1) to the SGCM radiator (2). Refer to Coolant Pipe Quick Connect Fitting - Starter/Generator Control Module .
  12. NOTE: The procedure below must be followed. Improper coolant level could result in a low or high coolant level condition, causing starter/generator control module damage.
  13. Fill the SGCM cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System - Starter/Generator Control Module .
