Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the trailing arm and bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the trailing arm to bracket through bolt to 60 N.m (44 lb ft) plus 60 degrees.

  2. Position the trailing arm to the vehicle.

  4. Install the trailing arm to knuckle bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 180 N.m (133 lb ft).

  5. Connect the parking brake cable to the trailing arm. Refer to Park Brake Cable Replacement - Rear (Disc Brakes) or Park Brake Cable Replacement - Rear (Drum Brakes) .

  7. Install the trailing arm bracket to body bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bracket to body bolts to 90 N.m (66 lb ft) plus 30 degrees.

  8. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  9. Lower the vehicle.
