Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the PSCM.
- Test for less than 1Ω between the ground circuit terminal A and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the PSCM.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal B and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the PSCM.

- Separate the power steering motor assembly from the steering column.
- Verify no damage or separation to the rubber coupler is present.
- If separation or damage is present, replace the power steering motor assembly. If the motor assembly is OK, replace the steering column assembly.
