Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the positive battery cable.
    3. IMPORTANT: It is not necessary to disconnect the fan control module wiring from the module.
  3. Remove the fan control module by sliding up and off the bracket. Lay the module and the wiring out of the way.
  4. Remove the battery insulating cover.
  5. Remove the battery hold down/fan control module bracket.
    6. CAUTION: Do not tip the battery over a 45 degree angle or acid could spill causing serious personal injury.
  6. Remove the battery.
