Solvent Container, Pump, Level Sensor Replacement - Windshield Washer

Solvent Container, Pump, Level Sensor Replacement - Windshield Washer

Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Lift and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the left fender liner. Refer to Fender, Insulator, Liner, Brake Caliper Cooling Duct Replacement - Front .
Headlamp Washer Solvent Container Replacement 
1 Retainer, Headlamp Washer Solvent Tank (Qty: 1)
2 Bolt, Windshield Washer Solvent Container (Qty: 2)

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb in)

3 Container Assembly, Windshield Washer Solvent
Tip: 
  1. Disconnect the washer hose and the drain washer solvent.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
4 Cap, Washer Bottle
Windshield Washer Pump Replacement 
5 Pump Assembly, Windshield Washer
6 Grommet, Windshield Washer Pump
Windshield Washer Solvent Level Switch Replacement 
7 Seal, Windshield Washer Solvent Level Switch
8 Switch, Windshield Washer Solvent Level
Tip: 
  1. Drain the washer fluid and refill when finished with the replacement.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector and reconnect when finished with the replacement.
  3. Using 2 flat-bladed tools, pry outward the washer solvent container level sensor switch from the solvent container.
  4. Use equal inward pressure to seat the level sensor switch into the seal.
