Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the analog/digital (AD) converter.
- Test for less than 5 ohms of resistance between the ground circuit and ground.
- If greater than the specified value, repair the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, test for battery voltage between the ignition voltage circuit and ground.
- If less than the specified value, repair the ignition voltage circuit for a short to ground, or an open/high resistance.
- Test for 4.8-5.2 volts between the signal circuit and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground or open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
- Ignition OFF, test for 1-1.2K ohms between the wheel speed sensor circuit and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the wheel speed sensor circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the Wheel Speed Sensor.
- If greater than the specified range, test the wheel speed sensor circuit, and ground circuit, for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the Wheel Speed Sensor.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the analog/digital (AD) converter.
