Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition ON, loosen the fuel fill cap. Verify the scan tool FTP sensor parameter is near 0 mmHg (0 in H2O).
- If greater than 4 volts, refer to DTC P0452 or P0453 .
IMPORTANT: Refer to the J 41413-200 operation manual for detailed instructions. - Connect the GE-41415-50
to the fuel fill pipe. Connect the J 41413-200
to the GE-41415-50
. Install the fuel tank filler cap to the GE-41415-50
.IMPORTANT: DO NOT exceed the specified value in this step. Exceeding the specified value may produce incorrect test results.
- Turn the nitrogen/smoke valve on theJ 41413-200
to nitrogen. Use the remote switch and attempt to pressurize the fuel tank with nitrogen to 5 in H20.
- If the FTP sensor parameter indicates a pressure of 8.41 mmHg (4.5 in H20), test for a blockage or restriction in the EVAP vent line/hoses.
- If no blockage or restrictions in the EVAP vent line/hoses are found, replace the EVAP vent solenoid.
