Installation Procedure
- Install the fuel feed pipe to the brackets and close the covers.
- Install the fuel and EVAP lines to the vehicle.
- Install the fuel/EVAP/brake line bracket to the body studs.
- Install the fuel/EVAP/brake line bracket nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the brake lines to the fuel/EVAP/brake line brackets.
- Connect the fuel feed pipe quick connect fitting. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
- Install the canister, if necessary. Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the cap or plug from the EVAP pipe.
- Connect the EVAP pipe to the purge solenoid. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
- Remove the cap or plug from the fuel pipe and the engine fuel rail.
- Connect the fuel feed pipe to the fuel rail. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
- Inspect for fuel leaks using the following procedure:
- Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
- Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
- Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
- Inspect for fuel leaks.
