CAUTION:
The high intensity discharge system produces high voltage and current. In order to reduce the risk of severe shocks and burns, the battery negative cable must be disconnected any time service work is being performed on or around the high intensity discharge system.

The high intensity discharge system produces high voltage and current. To reduce the risk of severe shocks and burns: Preliminary Procedure: Remove the HID headlamp assembly. Refer to High Intensity Discharge Headlamp Replacement .

| 1 | Directional Bulb Socket Rotate the light socket and remove from the headlamp composite. |
| 2 | Directional Bulb Tip: Pull the bulb straight out of the socket. |
| 3 | Headlamp Bulb Cover |
| 4 | Headlamp Bulb (Hi Beam) |
| 5 | Headlamp Bulb Cover Tip: Pull the bulb rearward and release the electrical connector from the bulb. |

. Tip: Rotate the bulb socket a quarter turn and remove the bulb from the headlamp. |
