Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the stabilizer shaft link lower retaining nut.
  4. Disconnect the stabilizer shaft link and washer from the lower control arm.

  6. Remove the lower control arm to lower control arm bracket mounting nuts.
  7. IMPORTANT: Note the direction the bolts are removed for reinstallation.
  8. Remove the lower control arm to lower control arm bracket mounting bolts.

    IMPORTANT: Take care not to disengage the axle shaft from the transmission.
  10. Pivot the lower control arm outward and downward for access to the lower control arm bracket.
  11. IMPORTANT: Note the position of the spacer 1on the front bushing.
  12. Remove the lower control arm bracket mounting bolts from the frame.
  13. Remove the lower control arm bracket from the vehicle.
