Removal Procedure

    IMPORTANT: It is not necessary to completely remove the drive belt from the engine.
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt from the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement for the 3.5L engine or Drive Belt Replacement for the 3.9L engine.
  2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement for the 3.5L engine or Intake Manifold Cover Replacement for the 3.9L engine.

  4. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the pump.

  6. Disconnect the power steering return hose from the pump.
  7. Remove the engine electrical harness from the reservoir retainers.

  9. Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts.
  10. Remove the power steering pump from the vehicle.
  11. Remove the power steering pump pulley from the pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement .
  12. Remove the reservoir from the pump. Refer to Power Steering Reservoir Replacement - Off Vehicle (CB Series) .
