Front Side Door Lock Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
1	Front Side Door Lock Screw (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Remove the water deflector. Release the front inside door handle cable retainers from the door. Remove the front side door lock cylinder rod from the lock. Remove the front side door handle from the lower adjuster clip. Remove the lock rod grommet from the lock rod. The lock rod will be remove with the lock. Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Front Side Door Lock Assembly Procedure Disconnect the door lock electrical connector. Transfer the lock rod to the new door lock. Inspect the lock, lock cylinder and handle adjustments. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Rod Adjustment .

Procedure

Remove the water deflector.
Release the front inside door handle cable retainers from the door.
Remove the front side door lock cylinder rod from the lock.
Remove the front side door handle from the lower adjuster clip.
Remove the lock rod grommet from the lock rod. The lock rod will be remove with the lock.

Tighten
10 N.m (89 lb in)

Front Side Door Lock Assembly

Procedure

Disconnect the door lock electrical connector.
Transfer the lock rod to the new door lock.
Inspect the lock, lock cylinder and handle adjustments. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Rod Adjustment .
