Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  2. Disconnect the lower transmission oil cooler (TOC) line from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
  3. Remove the cooling fans and shroud. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement .
  4. Remove radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Inlet .
  5. Remove the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet .
  6. Remove the A/C discharge hose to condenser block nut (1).
  7. Disconnect the A/C discharge hose (2) from the condenser block.
  8. Remove and discard the sealing washer.
  9. IMPORTANT: Cap or tape off the open A/C hoses immediately to prevent system contamination.
  10. Cap or tape off the A/C discharge hose.
  11. Remove the evaporator inlet tube to condenser bolt (4).
  12. Disconnect the evaporator inlet tube (3) from the condenser block.
  13. Cap or tape off the evaporator inlet tube.

  15. Remove the bolt that secures the radiator to the condenser.
  16. Remove the condenser tube clip screw.
  17. Tilt the radiator and condenser inwards toward the engine and remove the radiator.
