Installation Procedure

NOTE: When transferring any suspension components, refer to each suspension component replacement procedure for the proper torque specifications.
  1. Install the rear stabilizer shaft assembly on the support. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Replacement .

  3. Install the upper control arm on the support.
  4. Install the upper control arm nuts and bolts to the support. Refer to Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Replacement .

  6. Install the wheel speed sensor wiring harness on the upper control arms and the support.
  7. Secure the rear support to a transmission jack stand.
  8. Raise the support into position with the aide of an assistant.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  10. Install the support mounting bolts and tighten to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).
  11. Remove the transmission jack from the support.
  12. Install the knuckle assembly to the support. Refer to Knuckle Replacement .
  13. Install the upper shock absorber nuts. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement .
  14. Install the lower control arm assembly. Refer to Rear Axle Lower Control Arm Replacement .
  15. Install the toe links to the support. Refer to Rear Suspension Link Replacement - Toe Link .

  17. Install the park brake cable retaining bolt (3), park brake cable (1), on the trailing arm assemblies (2).
  18. Install the rear wheel speed sensor wiring harness to the right rear trailing arm mounting bracket.
  19. Reconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector at the right rear trailing arm.
  20. Install the rear muffler assembly. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LZ4) or Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LE5 or LE9 With MH8) or Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LY7) .
  21. Install the tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  22. Lower the vehicle.
  23. Realign the rear suspension. Refer to Wheel Alignment Measurement .
