Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the ECM into the bracket on the battery tray.
  2. Push down on the ECM until the retaining tab snaps into place.

  3. Connect the engine harness electrical connectors to the ECM.
  4. Slide the lever locks downward to secure the connectors.

  5. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (1) to the ECM.
  6. Slide the lever locks to the down position in order to engage the engine wiring harness electrical connectors.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  8. If a NEW ECM was installed, the ECM must be programmed. Refer to Control Module References .
