Installation Procedure

  1. Install the shift control assembly.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the bolts and the nuts holding the shift control assembly to the floor panel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts and the nuts to 8 N.m (71 lb in)  .

  3. Install the shift control cable onto the bracket.
  4. Install the adjuster pinch nut to the cable.

    Tighten:  Tighten the pinch nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in)  .

  5. Connect the electrical switch connectors.
  6. Install the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
