Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  3. Position a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any draining power steering fluid.

  5. Compress the clamp and disconnect the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose from the power steering reservoir.

  7. Remove the power steering pump and gear inlet pipe/hoses routing clip nut at the generator.

    Separate the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose from the routing clip.

  8. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  9. Remove the right side engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .

  11. Remove the power steering pump inlet pipe routing bolt from the engine block.

  13. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering inlet pipe/hose (2) from the cooler pipe (3).
  14. Remove the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose from the vehicle.
