Removal Procedure

- Raise and the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Support the lower control arm with a suitable jack stand.
- Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector at the wheel speed sensor bracket, if equipped.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft link (3) from the front strut (6). Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
- Remove the front strut nuts (2) from the bolts (5).
- Remove the wheel speed sensor bracket (1) from the strut (6).
- Remove the strut bolts (5) from the front strut (6).
- Separate the front strut (6) from the knuckle (4).
- Remove the upper strut nuts (1) from the strut (2).
- Remove the front strut assembly (2) from the vehicle.
