Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  2. Disconnect the steering wheel position sensor electrical connector (1) on the steering column.
  3. Remove the steering column from the vehicle. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .

  4. Remove the screw (2) from the steering wheel position sensor (1).
  5. Remove the steering wheel position sensor by pulling the sensor downward from the steering column shaft.
