Circuit/System Verification
- Ignition ON, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Verify that DTC P2120, P2125, or P2138 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set, refer to DTC P2120, P2125, or P2138 for further diagnosis.
- Verify correct brake lamp operation.
- If the brake lamps do not operate correctly refer to Stop Lamps Inoperative for further diagnosis.
- DTC P2299 is an informational DTC. If there are other Engine Controls DTCs, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle for further diagnosis.
