Circuit/System Testing

  1. Engine running measure and record the voltage at the battery terminals. Verify that the battery voltage is 12.6-15.5 V.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the ESC module.
  3. Ignition OFF, test for less than 5 Ω of resistance between the ground circuit terminal 2 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  4. Ignition On, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit and Ignition circuit listed below.
    • B+ terminal 1
    • IGN terminal 19
    • If test lamp did not illuminate, test the B+ or the Ignition circuit for an open/high resistance.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the ESC module.
