Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    NOTE:

    Do Not is install the motor/actuator at this time.

  1. Transfer the sunshade. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement (CF5) .

  3. With an assistant, position the sunroof frame assembly to the roof ring.
  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  5. Install the sunroof frame bolts to the roof ring and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Using the access hole in the sunroof frame cross bar, install the push-pin fastener which secures the rear sunroof water gutter to the roof. If equipped.

  9. Connect the rear sunroof drain hoses to the drain spout.

  11. Connect the front sunroof drain hoses to the drain spout.
  12. Install the sunroof window. Adjust as necessary. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement 
  13. Install the motor/actuator to the frame before initializing the motor. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement , and Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process (Existing Motor) , Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process (New Motor) .
  14. Verify that the electrical connector is connected to the sunroof motor/actuator and window is operating properly before installing the headlinder.

  16. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (without DE1) , Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (with DE1)
  17. Inspect the sunroof for proper operation.
