Removal Procedure

    NOTE:

    A new sunroof frame assembly does not include the sunroof window, motor, sunshade, or the finishing lace. You must install the old components to the new sunroof frame assembly.

  1. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
  2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (without DE1) , Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (with DE1) .

  4. Disconnect the front sunroof drain hoses from the drain spout.

  6. Disconnect the rear sunroof drain hoses from the drain spout.

  8. Remove the push-pin fastener securing the rear sunroof water gutter to the roof. If equipped.

  10. With an assistant, remove the four bolts that secure the frame to the roof ring.

    Lower and remove the sunroof frame assembly out through the passenger side door and place on a clean and dry surface.
