Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Identifying Heat Shield & Nuts

Position the heat shield to the underbody and the dash panel.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
Install the heat shield nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
If equipped with a 2.2L engine, install the exhaust manifold pipe. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Pipe Replacement (L61) .
If equipped with a 3.5L or 3.9L engine, install the catalytic converters. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LZ4) or Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LZ9) and Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LZ4) or Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LZ9) .
