Front Brake Rotor Replacement

CAUTION: Refer to Brake Dust Caution . NOTE: Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic wire, or equivalent, whenever it is separated from its mount and the hydraulic flexible brake hose is still connected. Failure to support the caliper in this manner will cause the flexible brake hose to bear the weight of the caliper, which may cause damage to the brake hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak. Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
1	Bolt, Front Brake Caliper Bracket (Qty: 2) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 115 N.m (85 lb ft)
2	Assembly, Brake Caliper and Bracket Tip: Without disconnecting the brake hose from the brake caliper, remove the brake caliper and bracket as an assembly and support with heavy mechanics wire or equivalent.
3	Screw, Brake Rotor Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
4	Rotor, Brake Tip: If reinstalling the original brake rotor, mark the position of the brake rotor to the wheel stud. Using the J 42450-A , clean any rust or corrosion from the mating surface of the hub/axle flange. See Special Tools . Using the J 41013 , clean any rust or corrosion from the mating surface the brake rotor. See Special Tools . After installing the brake rotor, measure the assembled lateral runout (LRO). Refer to Brake Rotor Assembled Lateral Runout Measurement . If the brake rotor was refinished or replaced, burnish the pads and rotors. Refer to Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing .
