Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Saturn Outlook, 2010 GMC Acadia, 2010 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2010 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
When removing connectors, inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion in the following requires repair or replacement of the affected component/connector:
- PPS module
- SDM
- PPS module harness connector
- SDM wiring harness connector
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the PPS module.
- Ignition OFF, test for less then 10 Ω between the ground circuit terminal 4 and ground.
- If greater then the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 3 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Reconnect all PPS components and perform the Passenger Presence System Preload Test .
- Clear all DTCs and operate the vehicle. DTC B0081 should not set.
- If DTC B0081 sets, replace the PPS.
