Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose to the vehicle.

  3. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering inlet pipe/hose (2) to the cooler pipe (3).

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  5. Install the power steering pump inlet pipe routing bolt from the engine block. Tighten the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose routing bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in)  .
  6. Remove the right side engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  9. Position the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose to the routing clip and install the nut. Tighten the power steering pipe/hose routing clip nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in)  .

  11. Compress the clamp and connect the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose to the power steering reservoir.
  12. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  13. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  14. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  15. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
