Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K64 Theft Deterrent Module.
- Ignition OFF, test for less than 10Ω between the low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K64 Theft Deterrent Module.
- Ignition ON, test for B+ between the ignition circuit terminal 3 and ground.
- If not the specified value, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K64 Theft Deterrent Module.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X3 harness connector at the K9 Body Control Module.
- Ignition ON, test for less than 1 V between the signal circuit terminal 2 at the K9 Body Control Module harness connector and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage.
- Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit terminal 2 at the K9 Body Control Module harness connector and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground.
- Test for less than 1Ω between the signal circuit terminal 2 at the K9 Body Control Module harness connector and the signal circuit terminal 2 at the K64 Theft Deterrent Module harness connector.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the K64 Theft Deterrent Module.
- Ignition ON, verify DTC B3055 is not set as current.
- If the DTC is set, replace the K9 Body Control Module.
