Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, driver door open, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate accessory power receptacle.
- Test for less than 5 Ω between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground:
- Terminal 2, Accessory power receptacle- instrument panel
- Terminal 1, Accessory power receptacle- center console
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the ignition circuit terminals listed below and ground:
- Terminal 1, Accessory power receptacle- instrument panel
- Terminal 2, Accessory power receptacle- center console
- If the test lamp does illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to voltage.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminals listed below and ground:
- Terminal 1, Accessory power receptacle- instrument panel
- Terminal 2, Accessory power receptacle- center console
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the appropriate accessory power receptacle.
