Installation Procedure

  1. Transfer the window regulator motor to the new regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement .
  2. Install the window regulator to the door as follows:
    1. Rear rail lower nut.
    2. Front rail lower nut.

  3. Place the window regulator bolts/nuts with the align up marks in step 4 of the removal, to ensure proper alignment
    4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution
  4. Install the front side door window regulator upper nuts (4).

    Tighten:  Tighten the to window regulator upper nuts 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the front side door window regulator lower nuts (3) to the marks 4 located at the bottom of the door.

    Tighten:  Tighten the to window regulator upper nuts 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the front side door window regulator motor bolt (5).

    Tighten:  Tighten the to window regulator bolt 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the front side door window regulator cable retainers (1).
  8. Install the front side door window regulator nut covers (2) located at the bottom of the door.
  9. Connect the electrical to the motor.

    WARNING: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning .
  10. Align the front side door window (3) using the marks taken in step 6 of the removal. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  11. Tighten the regulator clamps to the window when the marks align.
  12. After all adjustment are completed, the regulator clamps bolts are tightened, pull the outside handle to release the door latch bolt before closing the door.
  13. Inspect the window for proper operation in the open and closed position before installing the door trim panel.
  14. Install the water deflector.
  15. Install the window switch to the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .
  16. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  17. Clean the door window.
